For starters, you should know that excessive consumption of red meat is associated with decreased levels of collagen and elastin, two proteins found in the skin that are responsible for maintaining an elastic and youthful complexion.

At the same time, a diet rich in animal products is associated with the appearance of acne, and nutritionists recommend that we reduce the total level of leucine (an essential amino acid in animal proteins) to reduce the risk of pimples.

A period in which you exclude animal products from your diet and focus on fruits and vegetables can be like a breath of fresh air for the body, but be careful to give it all the nutrients it needs. A vegetarian diet does not mean starvation or many french fries instead of steaks! It means replacing animal with vegetable proteins maintaining a balanced diet.

Seeds, excellent for the skin!

For example, beans, chickpeas, lentils have a lot of protein and replace meat very well, and nutritionists recommend daily consumption of seeds of any kind: nuts, almonds, sesame, pumpkin and sunflower seeds are rich in antioxidants and make wonders for the skin.

Foods with a high water content (such as cucumbers, watermelons, melons etc.) are known to help moisturize the skin, filling fine lines and giving radiance to the skin.

Foods of plant origin contribute to the change of the internal environment towards the alkaline zone, which stimulates the immunity processes, helping the body to fight against any kind of external aggression.

Green means youth!

Studies show that diets rich in green foods are a big source of antioxidants and vitamins, and this also results in healthier, brighter skin and, of course, significantly contributes to hair regeneration and stopping hair loss.

Vitamin C is needed for the metabolism of collagen, which increases the elasticity of the skin, leading to a smoother and less wrinkled complexion, and some of the richest in vitamin C foods are papaya, strawberries, oranges, lemons, cauliflower and garlic!
